Annual Discover Burien Dinner and City of Burien Leadership Awards
with a Silent Auction. Featuring food from local restaurants,
local entertainment.

Clean Sweep - April 24, 2010, 8 am to 1 pm
Burien Clean Sweep is a city wide clean up morning. Volunteers gather at
8:00 a.m. at the fire station and one or two other staging areas for
coffee, juice, donuts, etc. They are then assigned to a team and given gloves,
garbage bags, buckets, brooms and safety vests. They are then dispatched
to an area of the city to clean up trash. At noon the crews return to the
fire station for a hot dog lunch and raffle with prizes donated by area businesses.
The event ends at 1:00 p.m. Last year 7.61 tons of garbage was collected.
BURIEN FARMERS MARKET - 11 am to 6 pm each Thursday
NEW LOCATION - SW 152nd Street & 5th Place SW in Burien Town Square
Burien Farmers' Market - every Thursday from the beginning of
May through mid-October. The Farmers' Market has developed into a
very successful market with 40 to 50 vendors each week. With the opening
of the Town Square park, it is expected that the market will be held there.
Vendors include a food booth, handmade goods, farm fresh products and
fresh baked products. Vendors must meet the guidelines of
"Washington State Farmers Markets", and they pay $25 per day to participate.
Each Vendor is expected to stay the full day from 11:00 - 6:00PM.

FATHER'S DAY CAR SHOW
SW 152nd Street - Downtown Burien
More than 200 cars are on display for this event which tkaes place
from 10 am to 4 pm, on SW 152nd Street between 4th and 8th Ave SW.
Car clubs from around the Puget Sound area are invited to display their vehicles
as are Burien's New Car Dealers (who help sponsor the event). Music, Chili Cook-Off
and fun for the whole family.
FALL ART WALK
Saturday, September 12 - 10 am to 5 pm
SW 152nd Street - Downtown Burien
The Fall Art Walk is designed to increase foot traffic for local
busineses and to generate sales for local artist. As many as 40 local
businesses are invited to host an artist during this event
by displaying and allowing the sale of the artists' works.
Where appropriate and possible, artists are given space
to demonstrate their work as well as to make sales.

OCTOBERFEST

BOO IN BURIEN

This is a safe trick-or-treating event for
Burien families held from Noon to 5 pm
along SW 152nd Street. Other activities include a
costume parade for dogs, weiner dog races, Pumpkin Bowling,
and a Haunted House. All Free for the entire family.

A variety of activities are held along SW 152nd
Street, including hayrides, carolers and other singers,
photos with Santa, in-store and restaurant
