Saturday, December 6th, 2014 - 10am to 5pm - SW 152nd Street in Downtown Burien

Celebrate the Holiday Season by shopping locally at this annual community event that includes free horse and carriage rides, hay rides, hot treats and in-store specials. Hours: 10 am to 4 pm. FREE SANTA PHOTO'S at Prudential Northwest Realty 930 SW 152nd in Olde Burien - Attendance 750 people.

Twice a year the potters at the Moshier Art Center gather to sell their handmade wares. Come to this amazing sale to find hundreds of items such as mugs, bowls, serving dishes, casseroles, garden art, soap dishes, jewelry, holiday items, and more! Come early for best selection. Checks or cash accepted.

Discover Burien and Burien Parks and Recreation to host Empty Bowls this year. Fundraiser for area food banks. Empty Bowls events can be found around the country raising money to combat hunger in our communities. Potters have donated bowls to be filled with soup at this fun event...all are invited!

Your donation will get you the opportunity to pick out a beautiful handmade bowl, as well as a simple but wonderful meal of soup, bread, drink and dessert donated by area businesses. Proceeds will go to the Highline Food Bank and White Center Food Bank.

First Thursday of each month / 6pm - 9pm in Downtown Burien

Join B-Town Beat the first Thursday of every month for Burien's Monthly Art Walk. The B-Town Beat Art Walk is a new art walk in downtown Burien that celebrates more than 2-dimensional art. The goal is to draw people to Burien businesses and celebrate creativity and community. The current vendor list reaches over 30 participating businesses who have hosted music, spoken word, dance performances and visual art. Please join in by participating and fostering this creative environment.

A fun new event, Mother and Son Night of Fun gives mothers and sons a chance to have a fun night out. The event features a DJ spinning dance tunes and a magic show. Admission includes a photo and light refreshments.

5K Run and 1 Mile Wee Race — Sunday, March 16th
Start: 12:00 PM, Normandy Park Community Club (beach parking lot)
Finish: Southgate Masonic Lodge, Olde Burien
Free shuttle from Southgate Masonic Lodge to 5K start line, 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM

Cove to Clover Classic, Highline's Highlander 5K race, begins at the base of an incline affectionately known as "Snake Hill". The triumphant ascent reveals stunning views of the Puget Sound, accompanied by the music of a Highland bagpiper as well as three beer gardens. This sixth annual event that supports local charities is a staple to runners in the Highline and surrounding areas and a test piece for regional runners. Along with the 5K, there is a Wee Race, a 1-mile fun run for young runners and families who aren't quite ready to "Beat the Snake".

Race Day registration, as well as finish line and post-race festivities will be held in Olde Burien at the Southgate Masonic Lodge (1004 SW 152nd St, Burien). Race Day registration/packet pick-up: Sunday, March 16th 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM, Southgate Masonic Lodge. Pre-race day packet pick-up: Saturday, March 15th 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM, Southgate Masonic Lodge.
