Great things are happening in Burien!

Dear Debra,

Burien Town Square will feature two great events this weekend for you to check out: The Wild Strawberry Festival - Saturday and Sunday; and the Father's Day Car Show on Sunday.

(Note: Discover Burien members may drop off trinkets, etc.at the Discover Burien tent to be handed out during Father's Day Car Show.)

Of course, we think you should start early by stopping by the Burien Farmers Market today and treating yourself to some great treats and farm-fresh goodies.

Coming up on Wednesday, June 23rd we have our Business Education program on a healthcare program from Qliance. (see below for details)

Starting back again on June 27th, after a week-long siesta to make room for the Father's Day Car Show, the "el Tianguis Latino Market" will be back in Burien.

In the tradition of Latino culture, El Tianguis Mercado Latino in Burien is an open-air market held on Sundays from 10am-4pm along 5th Place beside the Burien Town Square Park between SW 152nd and SW 151st Streets. (same place as our beloved Burien Farmers Market)

Products include Latino food and beverages, arts and crafts, home and garden, clothing, electronics, and many other items traditionally available in markets in Latino countries.

Check out their website at www.elmercado.org and then stop by for some great deals, great food and a great time.  Bring your family, friends and neighbors.
Attention Members!
Business Education Program - June 23rd.

Are you looking for an affordable healthcare option?

Qliance is a network of doctor's offices that allows members to pay directly for their care. Eliminating the time and expense associated with billing insurance companies reduces costs by 40% and allows providers more time to care for their patients.

The program is set-up much like a health club, a reasonable monthly fee gives members unlimited, barrier free access to medical services with no co-pays, no deductibles, and no co-insurance. The services offered cover 80-90% of an average person's annual medical needs.

Join Philip Mertz, Qliance Director of Membership Development, as he explains how the program works and if it is a viable healthcare option for you or your employees.

Date: Wednesday, June 23rd
Time: 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Location: Cox Financial (112 SW 157th St.)

Did you know that Discover Burien has banners available to our members at no charge?

Volunteer Bob Glann, Jr.

These are great banners that are available to help promote your business.  We have been working with the City of Burien so that you won't have to go through the permitting process to display them.

Have any suggestions for additional banners?  Let us know.
