As many of you may already know, this is my last month at Discover Burien so I wanted to take this time to thank all of you for your time, energy, support, guidance, enthusiasm you have given.
I have thoroughly enjoyed all my time here. I am very pleased to assure you that the Discover Burien board members are working diligently to keep the organization moving forward.
I would like to remind everyone that there are some great community events coming up:

You are invited to attend the Discover Burien Dinner and Silent Auction and City of Burien Annual Awards Ceremony and 17th Birthday Celebration. Leadership Awards, Dinner with a Silent Auction. Featuring food from local restaurants and local entertainment. - Attendance: 125 to 150 people.

We are gearing up for our 3rd. Annual Highline Classic Jazz Festival Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011 at the Highline Performing Arts Center.
Lance and Laurie Haslund founded and present this Festival on behalf of Burien Arts. (Of course our entire board helps with this event.)
This year promises to be fantastic -- with locals performing along such luminaries as The Butch Thompson Trio, and Rebecca Kilgore with Dave Frishberg.
Free bus shuttle service is offered from downtown Burien to the HPAC. Students 18 and younger are admitted FREE.
